    The City f Christchurch, New Zealand was struck by a 7.1?magnitude earthquake n the early mrning f Saturday, September 4, 2010.
    N tsunami alert was reprted. The cuntry's army trps were n standby t assist victims and disaster recvery peratin. New Zealand's Prime Minister Jhn Key, flew t the affected area t inspect and assess the situatin f the damaged city. The Prime Minister said that the full assessment f the damages wuld pssibly take mnths t knw the severity f damages. Based frm his assessment n what he saw in the area, it culd cst at least 2 billin New Zealand dllars r US$1.4 billin fr recnstructin.
    “An abslute miracle that n ne died,” Prime Minister Jhn Key said. Tw were seriusly injured frm this quake and thusands f lcal residents were awakened after being shaken at 4:35 a.m. f that Saturday.
    There were peple trapped inside the damaged buildings but frtunately nne were reprted dead frm the rubble f the damaged buildings.
