    2. The teacher asks the students t reprt their hmewrk. Let the students act ut their wn cnversatins.


    3. The teacher shws the pictures f 2 in Sectin A. Let the students make sme sentences using while r when. Review the usage f adverbial clauses f time.


    4. The teacher shws sme pictures f Tian’anmen Square. Lead t the new lessn.


    Teach the new wrds f places f interest by shwing the pictures f them: mnument and rstrum. Teach the new wrds chairman, annunce and fund by shwing the vide f the funding ceremny in 1949.


    Teach the wrd meaningful by shwing a picture f New Year. Teach the new wrd wait by playing the actin: Lk at yur watch frequently.


    At last teach the new wrds nrth, east and west with the help f a map.





    1. The teacher asks the students t lk at the picture f 1a and lead t 1a: “Kangkang and Darren are talking abut the Tian’anmen Square. D yu knw what they will mentin? Let’s watch the flash and find ut the answer.


    2. Teacher plays the flash f 1a. Ask the students t answer the questins:


    (1) Which city square is the largest ne in the wrld?


    (2) Hw lng is it?


    (3) Hw wide is it?


    (4) Is it quite meaningful t all Chinese peple?


    3. The teacher asks three students t tell the answers.


    4. Teacher plays the flash again. Ask the students t underline the new wrds in the cnversatin. Grasp the wrds f directin, and knw abut the names f great buildings.


    5. The teacher lets the students read 1a, and then asks them t learn in grups t find ut the difficult pints. At last let them sum up the main pints.
