    This teaching perid mainly deals with reading fr writing a letter f advice. Students are expected t learn the knwledge abut hw t write a suggestin letter. The teacher is expected t enable students t master sme writing skills cncerning suggestin letters and learn t write ne.
    【教学目标与核心素养】
    1. Get students t have a gd understanding f hw t write a suggestin letter prperly.
    2. Enable students t use sme writing skills flexibly.
    3. Develp students’ writing and cperating abilities.
    4. Strengthen students’ great interest in writing discurses.
    【教学重难点】
    1. Hw t enable students t have a gd understanding f the skills f writing a suggestin letter
    2.Hw t enable students t write a gd recmmendatin letter using sme writing skills prperly.
    【教学过程】
    Step 1: Lead in
    Begin the class with the lead-in questins: hw t write a letter fr advice? What kinds f aspects shuld be included? It is strngly recmmended that the teacher shuld ask students t discuss the tpic freely with their partners and brainstrm sme ideas cncerning the tpic. In this way, students can cme up with
    mre ideas and avid being nervus at the beginning f the class.
    Step 2: Read t discver details cncerning advice letters’ writing style.
    The teacher is expected t ask students t read a letter ffering sme advice n page 18 silently and then request students t discuss the questins belw.
    In this step, what shuld be highlighted is that the teacher ught t give students enugh time t read individually and think independently. There is n need fr them t discuss the detailed questins. In this way, students can develp their individual lgical thinking ability and prmte their skills f finding details.

    Step 3: Read t sum up
    After learning the passage n Page 18, the teacher leads students t figure ut the rganizatin f the letter and appreciate its language features.

    Step 4: Use what yu have learnt t write a letter f advice t ne f the teenager belw.
    In this step, the teacher asks students t sum up sme ideas regarding the fllwing tpic:

    Step 5: Use what yu have learnt t draft a letter ffering advice t any f thse students abve.
    1. Cmplete the utline and use it t draft yur writing.
    2. Exchange drafts
    After each student finishes their wn writing, ask them t exchange the drafts with their desk mates and evaluate the drafts with the fllwing criteria.
    Use the checklist t give feedback n yur partner’s draft.
    √Are all the parts f a letter included and rganized in a gd rder?
    √Des the writer give reasns fr the advice?
    √Des the writer use prper expressins t give suggestins?
    √Des the writer use cmmas and stps crrectly?
    √Is the handwriting easy t read?
