2. There be 句型的特殊疑问句

  对主语提问时：当主语是人的时候，用who; 当主语是物的时候，则用what.

       无论原句的主语是单数还是复数，对之提问时一般都用be的单数形式，回答时 却要根据实际情况来决定。

e.g.  There are some books on the desk.   →   What is on the desk?

     There is a little girl in te room.     →    Who is in the room?

3. would like sth.= want sth；would like to do sth = want to do sth

The Kings lived in a small house near New York with their child. Sometimes Mr. King came back from work very late. When his wife and the child were asleep, he opened the front door of his house with his key and came in very quietly.
