英  语（广州专用）

2023年广州市中考试题还是分为两部分，选择题和非选择题两部分，考试时间80分钟，考试总分90分不变。预测今年中考英语试题还会是中规中矩，对考生比较友好。一是整体难度适中，题目数量和难度会一直保持稳定，素材选取会贴近学生生活，涉及人与自然、人与社会、人与人的关系这三个方面，突出了传统文化和人际交往方面的话题，体现了学科核心素养的文化意识和思维品质。考查学生英语运用能力，和近些年高考趋势接轨。在试卷难度方面，不会有太大变化。

通过对考试信息的梳理以及教学研究成果。语法选择一般考查基础的简单的语法知识，很多道题有明显的提示词，难度不大。完形填空，一般是心灵鸡汤类的记叙文。阅读理解的素材方面话题都是围绕校园生活，环境保护，传统文化来，社会热点来出题，会跟往年差别不大，整体难度不会增加。题型上来说，推理判断，词义猜测，主旨大意题都会出现，其他都是细节理解题。短文首字母填空一般考查对于文章的理解和单词的掌握，难度较大。完成句子考查考生对于单词和词组句型的掌握。书面表达部分，关于卡塔尔世界杯等社会热点问题特别注意。

本试卷共四大题，满分90分。考试时间80分钟。

注意事项：

1. 答卷前，考生务必在答题卡上用黑色字迹的钢笔或签字笔填写自己的考生号、姓名、试室号、座位号，再用2B铅笔把对应这两个号码的标号涂黑。

2. 选择题每小题选出答案后，用2B铅笔把答题卡上对应题目的答案标号涂黑。如需要改动，用橡皮擦干净后，再选涂其他答案。不能答在试卷上。

3. 非选择题必须用黑色字迹的钢笔或签字笔作答，答案必须写在答题卡各题目指定区域的相应位置上；如需要改动，先划掉原来的答案，然后再写上新的答案，改动的答案也不能超出指定的区域；不准使用铅笔、圆珠笔和涂改液。不按以上要求作答的答案无效。

Cleaning up the table, I caught sight of small round plastic pieces. I discovered they were the tops or covers of color markers I had kept on the table. The only difference was that someone got those covers and chewed (咀嚼) them into shapelessness. On another part of the table, I saw the color markers dried up without covers. I was almost sure I knew who had done it and I could not understand the reasons behind his actions.

As I considered my discovery, my annoyance and anger gradually went away when I remembered that as a child, I did several strange things that must have made my mother mad. I cut our shoes, I chewed pens and pencils, and I wrote and drew pictures on walls and destroyed many things at home. The mind of a child is curious with the spirit of exploration, seeking to understand and test the limits (限制) of many things. Of course, it can be costly, but what is growing up if no mistakes are made?

We call it paying the school fees of life. If a child plays with a hot iron and it burns them, it is a given that they will not go near the iron again. Sometimes I watch the children in my neighborhood playing dangerous games. Sometimes I tell them not to do it, but sometimes I let it pass. Children may not want to be told to stop riding as fast as they want until someone has fallen off their bike. Over the past few decades, children have been taking part less in free play and more in organized sports. While participation (参与) in organized sports has both social and physical benefits (益处) for young children, concerns about safety and benefits increase as participants get younger.

Though most children are naturally likely to be physically active, not all kids are willing to get up and move. Soccer coach Joseph Luxbacher says, “Every kid has the potential (潜能) to be a good sportsman in different kinds of sports. Taking part in organized sports such as the school soccer team introduces direction to children’s physical activities. Following a team schedule gives kids a set time and place to exercise. As a result, kids can be safe from accidents and be protected against hurt.”

What’s more, taking part in organized sports gives children time to communicate with others and showing good sportsmanship. For young children who may still be very self-centerd, taking part in team sports teaches them to think about the group and encourages them to be happy about the success of their teammates. Kids can also benefit from spending time with their coach and having a chance to develop a positive relationship with an adult other than their parents, especially if the coach is both skilled and devoted to being a positive mentor (导师).

Playing organized sports requires a lot of time for practice and games, so it would seem that this could influence students’ study. However, it can ameliorate students’ test performance. That’s because to play organized sports well, players have to memorize information, do repetitive actions, and learn from teammates. All these types of learning skills can make students score higher.

Though it can come from many different sources—parents, coaches, teammates or themselves—many children who take part in organized sports feel pressured to succeed. While a little stress can be helpful in leading children to perform with increased focus and strength, too much stress will leave young kids feeling very tired. Paying for bus rides with plastic usually makes people think of plastic bus cards. But one Indonesian city has decided to accept recyclable plastic waste in place of money for city buses.
