1. Ask Ss to play a guessing game. Look at the pictures and guess the changes about appearance and personality between the past and now.
2. Lead in “used to be/do” and describe the past with it.

设计该图片进行比较看到凯特的前后变化，以此引出核心结构used to be/ do。

1. Play the tape for Ss to listen for the first time.

1.Make Ss look at the picture in 1a and read the conversation .

2. Ask them to make conversations in pairs.

3. Call some pairs to present in class.
