    Period 2(Section A 2a-3c)设计说明  本课时重点是让学生继续深入学习现在进行时,描述正在发生的事情,进一步提高学生编写对话的能力;话题更贴近生活实际,让学生通过听、说,感悟一般现在时和现在进行时的使用语境及其表现形式。运用所学语言结构进行角色扮演、猜谜等活动,不仅能让学生有效地操练现在进行时的一般疑问句及其肯定、否定回答,还有利于学生在真实情景交际中自如地运用此种时态。教学目标  1. 知识目标:  (1)掌握单词和短语:movie,just,house,drink,tea,tomorrow;go to the movies,eat out,drink tea。  (2)掌握句型:—What are you doing?   —I’m watching TV.   —What’s she doing?   —She’s washing her clothes.   —What are they doing?   —They’re listening to a CD.   —Are you doing your homework?   —Yes,I am. /No,I’m not. I’m cleaning my room.   —Is he reading a newspaper?   —Yes,he is. /No,he isn’t. He’s playing basketball.   —Are they using the computer?   —Yes,they are. /No,they aren’t. They’re exercising.   2. 能力目标:  能正确运用现在进行时谈论自己或他人正在做的 事情。  3. 情感目标:  培养学生热爱劳动、热爱生活的好品德。重点难点  1. 重点:  学习并掌握本课时的单词和短语,掌握现在进行时的结构及用法,运用现在进行时描述身边发生的事情。  2. 难点:  正确使用现在进行时和一般现在时描述身边人的 活动。教学准备  多媒体课件,2a,2d的音频文件。教学过程  Step 1 Revision & Warming up  1. Greet as usual.   2. Let’s chant.   Step 2 Presentation  1. Translate the phrases into Chinese.   (1)what about 怎么样  (2)kind of 有点儿  (3)want to do sth. 想要做某事  (4)go to the movies 去电影院  (5)TV show 电视节目  (6)join me for dinner 和我一起吃晚饭  (7)at home 在家  (8)eat out 出去吃饭  (9)at half past six 在6:30  (10)clean the house 打扫房子  (11)make dinner 做晚饭  (12)drink tea 喝茶  2. Complete the sentences.   (1)我只是在洗我的衣服。  I’m just washing my clothes.   (2)你想和我一起吃晚饭吗?  Do you want to join me for dinner?   (3)我的父母不在家。我们可以出去吃。  My parents aren’t at home. We can eat out.   3. Play a guessing game.  Show some pictures to the students. Ask them to guess what he/she is doing.                           For example:  S1:Is Bill doing his homework?   S2:No,he isn’t. He is eating.   (Ask the students to talk about other pictures in the same way.)  Step 3 Listening  1. Work on 2a.   T:Jack and Steve are talking on the phone. What are they doing at home now? Listen to their conversation and match the answers with the questions in 2a.   (Play the recording for the first time;the students only listen carefully. Then,listen to the recording again,and match the answers with the questions.)  Check the answers.   Answers:1. a 2. b   2. Work on 2b.   Ask the students to listen again and complete the conversation in 2b.   For the first time the students only listen and write down the words or phrases in the blanks. Then play the recording again for them to check the answers.   Answers:按对话先后顺序:are,doing;watching TV;listening to a CD,boring;interesting;go to   3. Work on 2c.   (1)Now,role-play the conversation in 2b with your partners.   (2)Let some pairs act out the conversation in front of the class.   Step 4 Role-play  1. Role-play the conversation in 2d.   2. Follow the example in 2d and make up a conversation with a partner.   3. Read the conversation and answer the following questions.   (1)What is Laura doing?   She is washing her clothes.   (2)What is Jenny doing?   She is watching TV.   (3)Are Jenny’s parents at home?   No,they aren’t.   (4)When and where will they meet?   They will meet at Jenny’s home at half past six.   4. Read 2d and complete the passage.   Jenny and Laura are talking on the phone. Laura is just washing her clothes. Jenny is just watching TV. Jenny invites(邀请)Laura to join her for dinner. Jenny’s parents aren’t at home. They can eat out. They want to meet at Jenny’s home first at half past six.   5. Work in groups.   This is Jenny. 我是珍妮。  这是电话用语,“This is...”意为“我是……”,还可表达为“This is Jenny speaking.”或“Jenny speaking.”。  在英语中,打电话时,常用this表示“我”,that表示对方,而不用I或you。  A:Hello! This is John. Who’s that?  你好。我是约翰。您是哪位?  B:This is Jim. 我是吉姆。  Step 5 Grammar Focus  1. Read through the sentences and make sure the students can understand them correctly.   2. Close your books and translate the sentences into English.   (1)“你在做什么?”—What are you doing?   “我在看电视。”—I’m watching TV.   (2)“她在做什么?”—What’s she doing?   “她在洗衣服。”—She’s washing her clothes.   (3)“他们在做什么?”—What are they doing?   “他们在听激光唱片。”—They’re listening to a CD.   (4)“你在做家庭作业吗?”—Are you doing your homework?   “是的。”/“不,不是。我在打扫我的房间。”—Yes,I am. /No,I’m not. I’m cleaning my room.   (5)“他在读报纸吗?”—Is he reading a newspaper?   “是的。他在读。”/“不,他没有,他在打篮球。”—Yes,he is. /No,he isn’t. He’s playing basketball.   (6)她在锻炼。她每天晚上都锻炼。She’s exercising. She exercises every night.  3. Group work  Talk about the following questions.  (1)表示正在进行的动作用现在进行时态;表示经常性或习惯性的动作用一般现在时态。  (2)现在进行时的构成:be(am/is/are)+doing  ①肯定结构:S(主)+be(am/is/are)+doing+其他.   ②否定结构:S(主)+be(am/is/are) not+doing+其他.   ③一般疑问句:Be(Am/Is/Are)+S(主)+doing+其他?  ④简略回答:Yes,S(主)+be(am/is/are). /No,S(主)+ be(am/is/are) not.   ⑤特殊疑问句:疑问词+be(am/is/are) +[S(主)]+ doing +其他?  (3)现在进行时的常见标志词有:  now现在 look看(常用于句首) listen听(常用于句首)  Step 6 Practice  1. Work on 3a.   (1)Write sentences following the examples.   (2)Check the students’ answers.   Answers:  3. Mary’s parents drink tea after dinner.   4. Bill is talking on the phone now.   5. Becky and Bob watch TV on weekends.   2. Work on 3b.   (1)Number the sentences in order to make a telephone conversation. Then practice it with a partner.   (2)Have the students check their answers in groups. Then ask some groups to present their answers to the class.   Answers:5,8,2,7,4,1,3,6  3. Work on 3c.   Divide the students into groups.   Ask them to take turns miming different activities in their groups. The others in the group guess what the activities are. You can use questions like those in 3c.   Step 7 Summary  In this lesson,we have learned:  1. Words and phrases:movie,just,house,drink,tea,tomorrow;go to the movies,eat out,drink tea  2. Sentence structures:—What are you doing?   —I’m watching TV.   —What’s she doing?   —She’s washing her clothes.   —What are they doing?   —They’re listening to a CD.   —Are you doing your homework?   —Yes,I am. /No,I’m not. I’m cleaning my room.   —Is he reading a newspaper?   —Yes,he is. /No,he isn’t. He’s playing basketball.   —Are they using the computer?   —Yes,they are. /No,they aren’t. They’re exercising.   3.
