Step 1 Warming-up
1. Guessing Game:
—Is he …….?
—Yes, he is. / No, he isn’t.
游戏规则注意:只能用一般疑问句提问。
2. Free talk:
(1) What time is it?
(2) Suppose we are at this time now, so what are you doing?
3. T shows some pictures and Ss look at them and say what the people are doing.
设计意图:以游戏和看图说句子的方式复习上节课所学到的现在进行时,同时也起到活跃课堂氛围的目的。
Step 2 Pre-reading
Activity 1
1. Ss read the words and expressions in Activity 1 and match them with the pictures below.
2. Ss work in pairs and talk about what the people are doing in the picture.
3. T invites some Ss to demonstrate in front of the whole class.
设计意图:既巩固所学单词、短语,也锻炼了学生的口语表达能力,还为接下来的文章阅读扫清障碍。
Step 3 While-reading
Activity 2
