It linked Chinese prts with Krea, Japan, Suth Asia and even East Africa. The famus explrer t travel this sea rute was Zheng He in the Ming Dynasty.The ancient Silk Rad als has a lng histry. As early as ver 2 000 years ag, China and ancient Rme were already cnnected by the Silk Rad. During the Eastern Han Dynasty, Chinese emissary Gan Ying was sent t search fr “Da Qin”, the Chinese name f the Rman Empire at that time. The famus explrer Marc Pl’s travels caused the first wave f “China fever” amng Eurpean cuntries. Strng evidence suggests that Greece was intrduced t silk prducts frm China in the 6th century BC. The fur great inventins f ancient China, papermaking, printing, the cmpass and gunpwder als reached the Eurpean cuntries by the ancient Silk Rad.
