    一般过去时,表示过去某个时间里发生的动作或状态。

    be动词在一般过去时中的变化: (1)am和is在一般过去时中变为was.用于第一、三人称单数。例如:我九岁。I am nine. 我去年九岁。I was nine last year.(2) are在般过去时中变为were,用于第二人称和第一、第三人称的复数情况。例如:我们是新朋友。We are new friends.我们上周是新朋友。We were new friends last week.

    动词变化很好记,一般末尾加-ed.(clean→cleaned)如果词尾有个e,紧跟其后加个d.(taste→tasted)辅音字母加y的,要先把y变i再加ed,(study→studied)重读闭音结尾,双写最后字母,再加-ed(stp→stpped)特殊变化要熟记,(is→was, d→did,...)
