Enjying a histry f ver 1,000 years, Dngba characters are an ancient system f pictgraphic glyphs (象形字形). They are praised t be the “living fssil (活化石)” in writing.
    As a member f the Naxi grup, He first learned Dngba characters at the age f 13. He lved them immediately when he first lked at the symbls. “These characters have pictgraphic drawings that lk like humans, animals, plants etc.” He said. “They are usually clrful and recgnizable.”
