The 1972 Hawaii episodes opened the fourth season of The Brady Bunch, and they have become a beloved part of pop culture. Here are the top places where the Hawaii episodes of The Brady Bunch were filmed.

    Sheraton Waikiki

Location: 2255 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii 96815

The entrance to the Sheraton Waikiki has not changed all that much. All of its original charm remains. You can even book an ocean-view room like the Brady family would have enjoyed. Be sure to also check out the breathtaking infinity pool.

    Halona Blowhole Lookout

    Location: 8483 Highway 72, Honolulu, Hawaii 96825

During their tour of Hawaii, the Bradys looked in the wonder at the still-active Halona Blowhole. It's one of Hawaii's many natural wonders. The rock formation and blowhole shoots ocean water spray high into the air when the waves roll in.

Although there are no active volcanoes on Oahu now, their effects on the island linger. The best time to come here is when winds are strong and the tide is high.

View Rabbit Island from Makapu'u Beach Park

    Location:41-095 Kalanianaole Highway, Makapu'u Point, Hawaii 96795

The Brady girls enjoyed the view of Rabbit Island. Although it's referred to by its nickname in the episodes, the real name of Rabbit Island is Manana Island. It got its nickname because many rabbits used to inhabit the area. It's now an uninhabited islet on the eastern end of Oahu.

Hula dancing on the Ocean Lawn of the Royal Hawaiian

Location: 2259 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii 96815

It's believed that the Brady ladies enjoyed their hula lesson on the Ocean Lawn of the Royal Hawaiian, a luxury collection resort. The ocean Lawn is a great place for a selfie because you can see the ocean, Diamond Head and other beautiful sights in the background.

The Royal Hawaiian does offer hula lessons to guests, but they aren't held on the Ocean Lawn. If you and your family decide to try hula dancing, try not to get your hula skirts mixed up like Alice and Cindy did!

It is the year 3000. I come to a place where I can’t see any water, plants or animals but black clouds in the sky and sand everywhere. It’s very dry so I drink some water that I carry with me. A native sees what I do and asks “What is it?” I pour some water and tell him it’s called water. “Oh, I’m so lucky that I can see water!” the man shouts in an excited voice. “You have never seen water? But how can you live without water?” I ask.

“Harry, get up, it is 7 o’clock, or you will be late!” a voice comes to my ears. “Oh! What a strange dream I dreamed just now!”

In class, I always think of that dream. And I also think of the fresh air, clean water, blue sky, green plants and animals in our world nowadays. How beautiful our life is!

But in order to make more money, people have built more and more factories. These factories send out waste smoke and water with chemicals which are harmful to the environment. The pollution is becoming worse and worse, and as a result, some animals and plants die out. With the development of agriculture, farmers spray aerosol (喷雾) and fertilizer, which also pollute the water and air. In the street the cars and buses are sending out heavy smoke which pollutes the air badly. Even tourism is harmful to the environment. When some tourists travel somewhere, they throw the plastic bags and rubbish onto the ground.

These behaviors are polluting the environment and the environment will become the greatest problem of the world. We shouldn’t pollute the environment any more. Otherwise more and more animals and plants will disappear. And maybe my dream will come true in the future.

One-year-old Tallulah turned purple and stopped moving after the sweet became stuck in her throat. Her mum Leigh-Anne said the drama began during a visit to her grandma’s house when her grandparents gave her older kids some sweets.

“Then at about 4:45 pm, Tallulah started to choke—we all went into a panic.”

“It seemed like it went on for ages. Not one of us knew what to do.”

“I rang an ambulance while my grandma and granddad tried to get the sweet to come up.”

“Tallulah was panicking at first but then she started to go purple—she almost had no oxygen left in her.”

With her daughter limp (无力的) and time running out, Leigh—Anne knew she couldn’t afford to wait for the ambulance to arrive.

“The only thing I could think was to go out into the street.” She said.

“I rushed out and screamed for someone to help while my grandma rushed out crying with Tallulah.”

At exactly the moment, Caitlin, who is studying public services at Redcar College, was passing by Queen Street. She said, “I was waiting to go to work when I heard someone screaming for help, so I ran straight over.”

The 17-year-old girl added, “Something just clicked and I went into auto mode. The little girl was completely limp, so I checked her airways and tilted (使倾斜) her over and started hitting her back. I turned her round and tapped on her chest, then after what felt like forever she coughed up the sweet and spat it out.

Algorithms (算法) affect nearly every part of a person's experience on the Internet. Search engines are most people' s entry to the Internet. If a person wants to find information about something, they usually start with a search bar.As soon as they start typing or choosing links, the algorithm starts gathering data about every choice users make and uses that data to try to find the websites or information that most directly relate to what the user is looking for.

The problem with algorithm is that they can limit the kinds of information people see, says MacMillan,a reading researcher with Project Information Literacy (能力). He argues this can be harmful to people's critical thinking and lead them to believe that only one point of view is correct.

Companies also pay to post advertisements for products that could relate to users' search data. For example,if you search for places to take a vacation, you will likely start to see ads for travel companies, flights or hotels.

Renee Hobbs, director of the Media Education Lab at the University of Rhode Island, however, argues that algorithms are not all bad. She says search engine algorithms can help you find what might be the most useful information faster. But she says it is in the interests of Internet companies to keep users on the Internet for as long as possible so they see more ads.

The current generation of young people grow up using the Internet and they are prone(易于遭受) to distrustful information. That is why schools must train students how to use the Internet more wisely in their Studies. It is the duty of education to keep students informed about the world around them. Yet it is not the duty of education alone. And lawmakers should consider increasing data protection rules. Individuals can also use a wide variety of websites to avoid algorithmic controls.

32.How do algorithms affect users' Internet experience?

A.They lead to slower Internet connection.

B.They block ads for users automatically.

C.They always help users get reliable links.

D.They determine the content users receive.

33.What is Hobbs' attitude to algorithms?

    A.Doubtful. B.Supportive.

    C.Objective. D.Indifferent.

34.What can be concluded from the last paragraph?

A.Young people fall victim to the Internet.

B.Data protection rules are already enough.

C.Education is fully responsible for algorithmic controls.

D.Joint efforts are needed to handle algorithmic controls.

35.Which column of a magazine is the text most likely from?

    A.Science. B.Entertainment.

    C.Advertisement. D.Fashion.

    第二节 (共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)

    根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。

Your house may have an effect on your figure. Experts say the way you design your home could play a role in whether you pack on the pounds or keep them off. 36 Here are some ways to turn your home into part of diet plan.

37 Dark environments are more likely to encourage overeating, for people are often less self-conscious(难为情)when they’re in poorly lit places—and so more likely to eat lots of food. If your home doesn’t have enough window light, get more lamps and flood the place with brightness.

Mind the colors. Research suggests warm colors fuel our appetites. In one study, people who ate meals in a blue room consumed 33 percent less than those in a yellow or red room. Warm colors like yellow make food appear more appetizing, while cold colors make us feel less hungry. 38

Don’t forget the clock or the radio. People who eat slowly tend to consume about 70 fewer calories(卡路里)per meal than those who rush through their meals. Begin keeping track of the time, and try to make dinner last at least 30 minutes.  And while you’re at it, actually sit down to eat. 39 It makes you less likely to rush through a meal.

40 We eat about 22 percent more when using a 12-inch plate instead of a 10-inch plate. When we choose a large spoon over a smaller one, total intake(摄入)jumps by 14 percent. And we’ll pour about 30 percent more liquid into a short, wide glass than a tall, skinny glass.

    A. Downsize the dishes, big serving bowls and plates can easily make us fat.

    B. Open the curtains and turn up the lights.

    C. Therefore, the design of your home can play an active part in your daily life.

    D. You can make your environment work for you instead of against you.

    E. If you need some help slowing down, turn on relaxing music.

    F. You can stop eating to have a rest.

    G. So when it’s time to repaint, go blue.

To get profession instructions, we left for Beijing to visit a chief editor of Beijing Review, the famous English journal.
