概念:在句子中起宾语作用的从句成为宾语从句。包括动词的宾语从句、介词 的宾语从句和系表结构的宾语从句。宾语从句的连词有that,whether/if 和特殊疑问词。
语法小知识——宾语从句大总结
Key pints: that不能省略的情况:(1) 句中出现两个或两个以上由that引导的宾语从句, 如: Rbert said (that) he had finished reading the bk that he wuld brrw anther ne.(2) 当宾语从句的主语是this,that或者被this和that修饰时,如: Ann said that this bk was very beautiful. David tld us that that was why he was late.(3) 当宾语从句是双宾语中的直接宾语时,如: Charlie tld me that he wuld put sme signs n the envelp.
只能用whether,不能用if的情况:(1) 在具有选择意义,又有r或r nt时,尤其是直接与r nt 连用时,往往用whether(if…r nt也可以使用)。如: Let me knw whether/if he will cme r nt.(=Let me knw whether r nt he will cme.)(2) 在介词之后用whether。如: We’re thinking abut whether we can finish the wrk n time. (3) whether置于句首时,不能换用if。如: Whether this is true r nt, I can’t say.(4) 若用if会引起歧义时,则用whether。如: Please let me knw if yu like the bk.可理解为:① Please let me knw whether yu like the bk. 请告诉我你是否喜欢这本书。② If yu like the bk, please let me knw. 你如果喜欢这本书,请告诉我。
宾语从句的时态受主句影响,在使用时注意:(1) 当主句为一般过去时,宾语从句用相应的过去时态,如: The man tld me that he was lking fr his sn. The plicemen asked the little by where he lived.(2) 当主句是现在时态,宾语从句可根据情况选用,如: He says (that) he will leave a message n her desk. D yu knw hw Amy came t schl this mrning. Have yu asked the teacher when and where we shall meet tmrrw mrning?(3) 当宾语从句表达客观事实或规律时,其时态不受主句显限制,都用一般现在时,如: Our gegraphy teacher said that the earth ges rund the sun.
