    本文以人物为线索展开,讲述了一个名字叫Jenny 的女孩,在离家2000英里的地方读大学,由于是家里唯一的女孩,上大学的第二天就在电话中哭诉着自己想家。她的室友Zara听到了她的哭声,没有安慰她反而嘲笑她,由此同学们都称Jenny 为“爱哭鬼”。一次周末,Jenny 的父亲打电话告知Jenny 邀请室友Zara去家中做客,Jenny 并未告知父亲Zara对她的不友好,但还是依旧邀请了Zara。由此,在Jenny 家中,Zara感受到了家庭的温暖,并且发生改变,而成为好朋友的故事。
