    Point 1 parents/’peərənts/ n. 父母 (Page 7 1a)
    ► 这是我的父(母)亲。
    parent指父母其中之一,而加-s之后,变成复数,指父母二人,此处常考动词的单复数形式。

    【答案】are 【解析】此处主语为Your parents,为复数,因此be动词选are。

    Point 3 family/’fæməli/ n. 家;家庭 (Page 7 1a)
    【归纳】既指整体的家庭,也指家人。当family指家人时,谓语动词描述家人(家庭成员)的活动或状况,常用复数。
    ►My family are watching TV. 我的家人在看电视。
    ►My family are all tall. 我的家人个子都很高。
    当family指家庭概念时,谓语动词描述家庭整体概况,常用单数。
    ►His family is small. 他的家庭很小。
    ►Her family has a long history. 她家历史悠久。
    类似的词还有:class, government(政府),team (队)等集体名词。当它们表示这个集体的成员时谓语动词用复数,当表示整体时,谓语动词用单数。

    (1)who为疑问代词,意为"谁",用来询问人物关系或身份等。回答时,若主语为单数,根据人物的性别选用代词he或she;若主语为复数,应用代词they。
    根据不同的人称使用不同的be动词,详见下表。

    this常用于介绍他人的句型中。
    介绍单个的人
    This is my mother.

    That is my father.

    介绍一群人
    These are my cousins.

    Those are my friends.
    那些是我的朋友们。
    ►Mum, this is Mike. 妈妈,这位是迈克。
    ►Those are my classmates. 那些是我的同班同学们。
    其他介绍别人的句型:

    英文中使用指示代词this,that指代单数的人,即某一个人,用these,those指代复数的人,即两个或两个以上的人。

    ►That’s my grandfather. 那是我的爷爷。
    ►These are my brothers. 这些是我的兄弟。
    ►Those are my parents. 那些是我的父母。
    Point 6 This is my mother, Jenny, and this is my father, Tom. 这是我的妈妈珍妮,这是我的爸爸汤姆。
    在英美等西方国家,家庭成员之间可以互相称呼名字,表示亲切。而在中国文化里,父母、长辈的名字是不能随意叫的。这是中西方的文化差异。

    well是感叹词,用于情景交际中,表示多种含义,见下面的图示:

    作形容词时,表示"身体无病的;健康的"。

    是通用词,可以表示各种品质方面的优异,修饰名词作定语,或者在句中作表语。

    fine
    "上好的;精细的",也可以表示"美好的;天气晴朗的"。
    She always wears fine clothes.
    她总穿好衣服。
    nice
    表示"使人感到愉快的;好的"。

    well常用作副词,修饰动词,意思是"很好"。

    Point 8 Those are my parents. 那些人是我的父母。
    英文中,指代"两个"或"两个以上"的人物或事物时,名词要用复数形式,如:parents(父母,双亲),brothers(兄弟),grandparents(祖父母,爷爷和奶奶)等。介绍复数的人物就用these和those,动词用are而不是is。

    这是一句口头英语,see在此处的意思是"知道,明白",此外,它也可以表达"我看见了"的意思。但是,如果说"我不知道、不明白",英语是I don’t know.或I don’t understand.。

    这是一句表示祝愿的话。完整的句子是:Well, I hope you have a good day!类似的英语还有:Have a nice day!/Have a good time!/Have a good holiday!等等。
    Point 11 You, too. 你也是。

    当回答含有this或that作主语的问句,且this或that指物时,应用it代替句中的this或that;当回答含有these或those作主语的问句时,应用they代替句中的these或those。
    ►—Is that your pen? 那是你的钢笔吗?
    —Yes, it is.是的,它是。
    ►—Are these his grandparents? 这些是他的(外)祖父母吗?
    —No, they aren’ t.不,他们不是。
    【注意】(1)介绍某人时,用this或that,而不用he或she。
    (2)打电话时,说自己是谁用This is...,问别人是谁用Who’s that?。
    ►Hello! This is Mary. Who’ s that? 喂!我是玛丽。您是哪位?学科&网
    二、单数句与复数句的转换
    单数句改为复数句是句型转换中的一个重要题型。将单数句改为复数句常遵循如下规则:
    1. 将单数句中的指示代词、人称代词、名词及be动词等变为对应的复数形式,如this→ these, that→ those, he/she/it→ they等。
    ►This/That is a pen.→ These/Those are pens.
    ►He is in China.→ They are in China.
    ►I’ m a girl.→ We are girls.
    2. 将单数句中的不定冠词a, an去掉(某些固定搭配除外)。
    ►It is an orange.→ They are oranges. ►This is a pen.→ These are pens.
    3. 单数句中的形容词、定冠词、副词、疑问词、介词等保持不变。
    ►The pen is red.→ The pens are red.
    ►What color is the jacket? → What color are the jackets?

    ►That is an orange tree.→Those are orange trees.
    (2)表示单数的物主代词在变成复数句时可根据实际情况变化,有时可仍用单数,有时可改为相对应的复数形式。
    ►This is his ruler.→ These are his/their rulers.
    ►She is my friend.→ They are my/our friends.
