设计说明

首先老师通过图片展示与对话相结合的方式，拉近师生之间的距离，活跃课堂气氛，激发学生的学习兴趣，接着引出本课时的话题“Surfing in Sydney”，接着掌握学生对词汇的掌握情况，并进行进一步的巩固练习，然后，通过播放录音，初步了解Aaron喜欢的季节及活动，并通过听对话了解澳大利亚的气候特征和特有活动；再利用“Let’s Do It!”中的练习题对文章内容进行巩固。最后，利用第5题做笔头练习，由听、说、读的训练过渡到写的训练。本节课从多个角度、多种形式上对本课的语言知识进行练习，从而达到教学目的，实现教学目标。

T: In this lesson we are going to learn some sentences about “surfing”. At first let’s learn the new words. 

1. Show some pictures of the new words.

2. Match the words with the correct meanings. (Let’s Do It! No. 2)

3. Check the answers.

different 形容词；difference 名词；differently 副词。

3. Surfing is very popular here. 在这儿冲浪很流行。

popular是形容词，意为“流行的，受欢迎的”。常用短语：be popular with sb.为某人所喜欢。

4. My mum and dad often come and watch me surf.

5.“G’day”is short for“Good day” and “mate”is another way of saying “friend.”“G’day”是“Good day”的缩写,“mate”是“friend”的另一种说法。

be short for意为“是……的简称/缩写”, 常在句中作谓语。该短语前面的主语是一种缩写形式，for后面则是该缩写的全写形式。

“VIP” is short for “very important person”．

“VIP”是“very important person” 的缩写。
