一．      使用冠词

什么是冠词

 冠词是用在名词前面，说明名词所表示的人或事物的词。

冠词的分类：

1. 不定冠词a/an 的用法

  1. 在以辅音音素开头的单词前用a，在以元音音素开头的单词前用an

      a bag   一个书包               an eye   一只眼睛

  2. 用来表示数量“一”

      There is a pencil and an eraser in the pencil box.  文具盒里有一只铅笔和一块橡皮

  3. 用于初次提及的某人或某物

      I buy a new bike                             我买了一辆新自行车

  4. 表示某类人或物

      A monkey likes bananas.                      猴子喜欢吃香蕉

  5. 泛指一类名词中的某一个

      Tom wants to buy a kite.                      汤姆想买一只风筝

  6. a加序数词（first除外）表示“又一”

      The cake is delicious, and I would like a second time.

      蛋糕很好吃，我想再吃一块。

①    定冠词the的用法

   1.用于特定的人或事物前面

      The girl in red is Helen.                    穿红衣服的那个女孩是海伦

   2.用于世界上独一无二的事物前面

      The earth goes around the sun.                 地球围绕太阳转

   3. 用于上文提到过的人或事

      I have a book . The book is on the desk.          我有一本书，书在课桌上

   4. 用于某些专有名词前

      the Great Wall     长城                   the Yellow River 黄河

   5. 用在序数词前面

      Monday is the first day of a week.              星期一是一周的第一天

   6. 用在形容词前面，表示一类人

   7. 用在表示西洋乐器的名词前

②    不用冠词的情况

   1. 当复数名词泛指一类人或事物是不用冠词

      Doctors and nurses should save lives.          医生和护士应该救死扶伤

 2. 在表示季节，月份，星期等名词前不用冠词

      I love spring.                               我爱春天

      We go to school from Monday to Friday.         我们周一到周五上学

      Today is Monday.                           今天是周一

   3. 在表示三餐，球类运动，游戏等名词前不用冠词

      It’s time to have lunch.                       到了该吃午饭的时候了

      We play football after school.                  我们放学后踢足球

      Let’s play chess after lunch.                   我们午饭后去下棋吧

   4. 当名词前有this,that,his my 等其他修饰词时不用冠词

      This is my bag.                             这是我的书包

      I have three pens.                           我有3支钢笔

   5. 国名，城市，人名，地名等专有名词前通常不用冠词

      Tom is from America.                       汤姆来自美国

   6. 不可数名词前不加冠词时，表示一般的概念或泛指

      Water is important to us.                     水对我们很重要

      Don’t play with fire.                        不要玩火

   7.当两个或两个以上名词并用时常省去冠词

      I can’t write without pen or pencil.       没有钢笔或铅笔，我就写不了字

   8. 在习惯短语中表示特殊意义时不用冠词

二．      方位介词;

 英语中表示方位的介词有很多：

in和at的用法比较

        in表示较大的地方，也可以表示“在…之内”

--Where do you live?

--I live in Huai’an.

Please put your toys in that box.

        at表示比较小的地方，或在…旁边

I am at the hotel.

Tom meets Mary at the airport

My family usually has a chat at the table after the dinner.

on和over的用法比较

        on表示“在…上面”通常指两个物体的表面接触。

There is an English book on the desk.

The music room is on the second floor.

        over意为“在…的正上方”，两个物体表面没有接触。

There is a book shelf over the bed.

常用的介词短语辨析

1.in hospital 和in the hospital

        in hospital表示住院

Jim’s father is in hospital.                             吉姆的父亲生病住院        

        in the hospital表示在医院，可能是在医院工作，也可能在医院探访

My mother works in the hospital.                       我的母亲在医院上班

2. in class和in the class

   in class 表示在课堂上，是在上课

Don’t sleep in class.   上课别睡觉。
