She used to be shy.二、肯定句A)主语+didn't use to +动词原形+其他.He didn't use to swim in this river, but he swims here now.三、否定句B)主语+used not to +动词原形+其他.He used not to swim in this river, but he swims here now.Did +主语 +use to +动词原形...?B)Used +主语+ to +动词原形...?美式英语通常用A种形式,英式英语用B种形式例如: Did/Used he use to /to go swimming in the river when he was young? 四、疑问句主语+used to do sth, didn’t +主语? He used to swim in this river, didn’t he?He used to watch a lot of TV, didn’t he? 五、Used to 的反义疑问句(一)used to 的状语可以用副词always,often, sometimes等,但是仍然是过去的习惯,不是指现在的习惯,所以不能用一般现在时。(二)used to可以用在 there be 结构中表示“过去经常有”的意思。There used to be…(三)used to 用于省略句时,肯定式保留to,否定式不保留to。注意:1. 辨析:be like 和look likebe like: “像…一样”,常指品德、相貌等相像, 更侧重人的个性特征。look like: “看起来像…”常指外貌上相像► The twin sister are like their father.► He looks like his mother.2. She still play the piano from time to time. 她仍然时常弹钢琴。(1)still 副词,意为“仍然”,用来说明某人或某物没有变化。still 在句中通常放在实义动词前,助动词、情态动词、连系动词后面。► The woman still lives in shanghai.► He is still in the classroom.(2) From time to time 意为“时常;有时”相当于sometimes /at times.► She goes to the movies from time to time.3. silent作形容词,意为“不说话的;沉默的”,其名词形式为silence (沉默;寂静)►She was silent when her mother asked her questions. 她妈妈问她问题时她沉默不语。silent 的副词形式是silently (默默的;静静的)► He went in to the classroom and sat down silently. 他走进教室静静地坐下来。2)keep silent意为“保持安静”► Please keep silent in public places. 在公共场合下请保持安静。状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路4. take up 此处意为“开始从事”。 eg:他放弃医学,开始学物理。 He dropped medicine and took up physics.take up的其他用法:①“占用” The table takes up too much room.②“继续” We took up our journey the next day. 状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路状元成才路5.deal with 相当于do with,意为“对付;处理eg:我不知道他们如何处理这个问题。 I don’t know how they deal with the problem. = I don’t know what they do with the problem. 常与how连用,强调处理问题的方式、方法常与what连用,侧重于对某事物的利用注意:动词不定式短语 to deal with 后必须带宾语。6. advise 的常用句型:① advise doing sth. 建议做某事 He advised leaving early.② advise sb. to do sth. 建议某人做某事 例:医生建议我彻底休息一下。 The doctor advised me to take a complete rest. 注意:advise后不能直接跟不定式作宾语。③ advise sb. against doing sth. 劝告某人不要做某事 有时可与 advise sb. not to do sth.互换。④ advise sb. of sth. 通知或告知某人有某情况 eg:货物到达时请通知我们。 Please advise us of the arrival of the goods.7. proud 与pride 的异同形容词,意为“自豪的;骄傲的”。be proud of 以……自豪be proud of doing sth. = be proud to do sth. 因做……而自豪名词,意为“自豪;骄傲”。take pride in 以……自豪8. Mario, you used to be short, didn’t you? 马里奥,你过去很矮,对吗?本句是一个反义疑问句,反义疑问句的特点是“前否后肯”或“前肯后否”,而且后半句在时态、人称和数等方面必须与前半句保持一致。► You are a doctor, aren’t you? 你是个医生,是吗?► we can’t take books out, are we? 我们不能把书带出去,对吗? 反义疑问句用法歌诀反义问句要点三,前后谓语正相反;附加问句not现,必须缩写是习惯;最后一点应注意,问句主语代词填。 反义疑问句的回答:1)回答反义疑问句和回答其他一般疑问句的结构一样。如果答语是肯定的,用“Yes +肯定结构”如果答语是否定的,用“No +肯定结构” ►-- He enjoys dancing, doesn’t he? 他喜欢跳舞,对吗? --Yes, he does. / No, he doesn’t. 是的,他喜欢。/不,他不喜欢。2) 回答陈述部分为否定句的反义疑问句时,Yes或是No的汉语意思与它们本身的词义相反。►---You didn’t go to work, didn’t you? 你没有去上班,对吗?►--- Yes, I did. / No, I didn’t. 不,我上班了。/是的,我没上班。 Guide Four Exercises1.
