    Period 2 (Section A 2a-3c)设计说明  本课时在1a~1c活动的基础上给出了更为丰富的语言运用环境。以听力的形式对重点词汇进行复习,进一步拓展句型;2d的角色扮演巩固了本节课所学的重难点;通过问答练习带领学生进入自主探究性的语法学习,发现并巩固本单元的主要语法知识;构建和谐开放的“生活课堂”,既能使学生增强自信心和学习兴趣,又能让学生在活动中突破自我、提升发展能力。教学目标  1. 知识目标:  (1)掌握单词和短语:sheep,as,natural,butterfly,visitor,tired,stay,away,mouse(pl. mice),baby,shout,language;stay up late,run away,shout at。  (2)掌握一般过去时态中what,who,where,how引导的特殊疑问句及其答语。  2. 能力目标:  (1)学会运用一般过去时谈论上个周末发生的事情。  (2)训练学生在听录音时有目的地获取信息并完成所给听力任务的能力。  3. 情感目标:  教育和指导学生如何让自己的周末和假期更充实、更有意义,让学生更加热爱学习、热爱生活。重点难点  1. 重点:  (1)本课时词汇。  (2)一般过去时,尤其是一般过去时的特殊疑问句。  2. 难点:  一般过去时的用法以及动词过去式的写法。教学准备  1. 准备关于周末活动的图片及部分词汇的图片。  2. 准备多媒体课件,2a、2d的音频文件。教学过程  Step 1 Warming up & Leading in  T:Good morning,boys and girls. What did you do last weekend?   S1:I did my homework at home.   S2:I visited my good friends.   S3:...  T:OK. Check your homework. Please report your friends’ activities last weekend.   S4:My friend is Jack. Last weekend,he was busy. On Saturday he cleaned his room. After that he went shopping...  Step 2 Listening  1. Look at the picture in 2a and answer the questions.   (1)Who do you think they are? I think they’re some students and their English teacher.   (2)Where are they? They’re in the classroom.   2. Now let’s read the sentences. At the same time,revise the past forms:visited,did,studied,went,fed. Then listen and underline the words you hear.   Answers:1. grandma 2. homework 3. English 4. farm 5. cows  3. Listen again. Write C for Carol,J for Jack or B for Becky next to the statements in 2a.   Answers:1. B 2. B 3. C 4. J 5. J  4. Report:What did Carol,Jack and Becky do last weekend?   Model:Becky visited her grandma and did her homework last weekend.   Note:sheep可数名词,意为“绵羊”,单复数形式相同。  A mother sheep usually has two baby sheep every year.   一只母绵羊通常每年生育两只小绵羊。  5. Ask two students to read the dialogue in 2c to the class.   T:Now work with a partner. Student A asks questions with who,what or where and Student B answers.   For example:  A:Who visited her grandma?   B:Becky did.   Step 3 Role-play  1. T:Look at the picture in 2d. The girl’s name is Lisa. What did she do last weekend? Please listen to the recording and answer this question.   Answer:She worked as a guide at the Natural History Museum.   2. Read the conversation in 2d,and answer the questions below.   (1)How was Lisa’s weekend? Great.   (2)How many kinds of butterflies do they have? Over 200 kinds of butterflies.   (3)What did Lisa tell the visitors? She told the visitors about the butterflies and their living habits.   (4)Why is Paul tired now? He stayed up late to watch the soccer game.   3. Read it again and talk about the following phrases in groups.   当导游 work as a guide  自然历史博物馆 the Natural History Museum  200多种蝴蝶 over 200 kinds of butterflies  生活习惯 living habits  过一个愉快的周末have a good weekend  有点儿累 kind of tired  熬夜 stay up late  4. Discuss the following expressions.   (1)work as意为“任……职,当……”。  I work as an English teacher at a junior high school.   我在一所初级中学当英语老师。  (2)natural意为“自然的”,由名词nature去e后加后缀-al构成。  Wild animals should live in the natural (nature) environment.   野生动物应该生活在自然环境中。  (3)“How interesting! ”是一个 感叹句,其结构为“How+形容词(+主语+谓语)!”,主语和谓语可以省略。  How exciting the news is!   这个消息多么令人兴奋啊!  How hot(the weather is)!  (天气)多热啊!  (4)over意为“超过”,相当于more than。  There were over/more than 100 elephants here before,but now there are only about 60.   以前这儿有100多头大象,但现在只有60头左右。  (5)visitors为名词visitor的复数形式,visitor由动词visit加后缀-or构成。  Thousands of visitors (visit) come to our center every day.   每天都有上千名游客来我们中心。  (6)动词不定式可作目的状语。  He stayed up late to write (write) a report.   他熬夜写了一份报告。  Turn off the tap to save (save) water.   关上水龙头以便节约水。  5. Listen and repeat the conversation.   6. Role-play the conversation.   Step 4 Grammar Focus  1. Read the sentences in Grammar Focus.   2. Talk about the grammar in groups. Think about the questions:  (1)这些疑问词分别表示什么意思?  (2)这些一般过去时态的特殊疑问句一般要借助哪个助动词?句子中的实义动词(即谓语动词)要用什么形式?  (3)这两个who问句为何一个需要助动词,一个不需要助动词?  3. Sum up.   what意为“什么”,用来询问事情或物品,通常用名词或动词(短语)作答;who意为“谁”,通常用来提问表示人的名词或代词;where意为“(在)哪里”,用来询问地点,通常用表示地点的介词短语作答。在谓语动词为实义动词的一般过去时态的特殊疑问句中,一般要借助助动词did,而句子中的实义动词(即谓语动词)要用原形。但who问句要区别对待:当who在句子中作主语时,不需要借助助动词did,而直接用实义动词的过去式,如:Who visited her grandma? 当who在句子中作宾语时,则和其他问句一样,要借助助动词did。如:Who did you talk with?   4. Exercises. (就画线部分提问)  (1)My parents bought me a gift for my birthday.   (2)Jim played badminton last Sunday.   (3)They went to the beach last weekend.   (4)I went shopping with my mother yesterday.   Answers:(1)What did your parents buy you for your birthday?   (2)Who played badminton last Sunday?   (3)Where did they go last weekend?   (4)Who did you go shopping with yesterday?   Step 5 Practice  1. T:Now look at 3a. Fill in the blanks with who,what,when,where or how. Then practice the conversations. (After three minutes,check the answers.)  Answers:1. What;Who 2. How;Where 3. What;When  2. T:Look at the picture. What are they?   Ss:They are mice.   T:Yes,they’re mice. There are three mice—a baby mouse and its parents. [板书mouse(pl. mice),baby]  (1)Now let’s read the story about mice in 3b. Complete the passage with the correct forms of the words in the box.   (After two minutes,check the answers.)  Answers:saw;was,climbed;ran away;said  T:OK. The answers are all past forms. Now let’s remember them.   Have a try:Write them down on your exercise books.   see—saw be—was/were climb—climbed run—ran say—said  (2)Read the story again. Find out the phrases.   老鼠一家a family of mice 小老鼠baby mouse  爬上climb onto   冲……大声叫嚷shout at  逃跑run away   一门外语a second language  (3)What can we learn from the story in 3b?(It’s important to learn a second language.)  (4)Read and learn.   ①shout的用法:  shout动词,意为“呼叫;喊叫”。常用短语:shout at sb. ,指因生气等而非善意地对某人吼叫。  He was so angry that he shouted at everyone.   他如此生气以至于对每个人都大喊大叫。  ②away的用法:  away作副词,意为“远离;离开”,常用短语有:far away(远离);go away(走开);run away(跑开);right away(立刻,马上)。  3. T:Look at the pictures. Can you guess what I did last weekend?      S1:You went camping and played badminton.   T:Good. Now please draw pictures of two things you did last weekend. Your classmates guess what you did.   Step 6 Summary  In this lesson,we have learned:  1. New words:sheep,as,natural,butterfly,visitor,tired,stay,away,mouse(pl. mice),baby,shout,language   2. New phrases:stay up late,run away,shout at   3. Grammar:一般过去时和what/who/where/how等引导的特殊疑问句及其答语。  Step 7 Homework  1. Copy and read the new words and phrases.   2. Recite 2d.   3.
