Tide is the regular rise and fall f the cean level caused by the mvement f the sun, the earth and the mn. It is cnsidered a prmising surce f green energy t prduce electricity in castal areas.
T make use f tidal energy, we need t build tidal pwer statins. The bays and the river muths where the tide is high (the tidal range is mre than 10 metres) are usually perfect sites t build tidal pwer statins. There are many such places in the wrld. Accrding t the IRENA (the Internatinal Renewable Energy Agency), by just using 2% f ur castlines, we can prduce 4, 383TWh f cean pwer each year, enugh t meet 16. 4% f the wrld's electricity needs.
T build a tidal pwer statin, we need t build a dam. In the dam are many turbines and n each turbine there is an electric generatr. When the tide rises, water cmes thrugh the dam, the turbines turn and the electric generatrs wrk, prducing electricity. When the tide fall, water ges ut thrugh the dam, the turbines turn again. The electric generatrs cntinue t wrk.
Tidal energy has it advantages. Using tidal energy t prduce electricity is much cheaper than using the traditinal energy, like cal r gas. Fr example, the Rance Tidal Pwer Statin in France has been there fr ver 50 years, prducing arund 540, 000TWh f electricity each year. The cst is nly 1.3 cents/TWh. Tidal energy can be used nearly 24 hurs a day. As lng as the sun, the earth and the mn exist, we can use it t prduce electricity. But withut sunshine, here is n slar energy. When there is n wind, electric generatrs will nt wrk. In additin, with the develpment f mdern technlgy, tidal energy can be stred and used t prduce electricity cntinuusly. Hwever, we still have sme prblems t slve. It is difficult t build a dam in the sea, and the cst is very high. Mrever, it's expensive t keep a tidal pwer statin in is best cnditin.
    Scientists are wrking n them.
    33. A tidal pwer statin is best built __________.
    A. at a river muth with windB. alng the cast with waves
    C. in a bay with tide high enughD. in castal areas with sunshine
    34. The underlined wrd "turbine" in Paragraph There is a machine t__________.
    A. make the tide rise and fallB. make an electric generatr wrk
    C. let water g thrugh the damD. keep the dam in gd cnditin
    35. What advantage des tidal energy have?
    A. We can use it t get useful tide.B. It can imprve the cean envirnment.
    C. We can use it nearly all the time.D. It meets 16. 4% f the electricity needs.
    36. Hw can we make better use f tidal energy?
    A. By digging mre bays and river muths.
B By building cheaper tidal pwer statins.
    C. By clsing traditinal electric pwer.
    D. By using tidal energy t replace ther energy.

Such rbts culd be especially useful fr patients with Alzheimer's disease (老年痴呆症 ). They can help with everyday activities frm preparing fd t reminding(提醒) the patients f taking their medicine. They can als play games with patients t keep them active.
Sme have wrried that care-giving rbts might reduce (减少 ) human interactin (互动) and cause mre humans t lse their jbs. "But the aim is t supprt human care, nt t take the place f it" says Brian Scassellati. He has tested rbts with different patients, and fund that daily interactin with rbts can help children with autism spectrum disrder(自闭障碍症) imprve scial skills.
As a field grws, scientists aim t understand human-rbt relatinships better. D rbts ffer advantages because they dn't have feelings and dn't give pinins? Will patients lse interest?
"One thing is clear," Scassellati says, "Rbts can prvide care fr the custmers and the need fr that will increase in the future. "

    A. will have feelings snB. can take the place f humans

Imagine this. There's an apple and a piece f cake n a table. Which ne wuld yu like? The delicius cake r the healthy apple? A bestseller, Willpwer: Rediscvering Our Greatest Strength, suggests that willpwer(意志力)is the ability t make decisins that are better fr us in the lng term, rather than in the shrt term.
Here is a famus experiment in the bk: The Marshmallw Test. In 1972, Prfessr Walter Mischel tested the willpwer f 600 fur-year-lds t six-year-lds. In the experiment, each child was left alne in a rm fr fifteen minutes with a marshmallw(棉花软糖)n a table in frnt f them. They were given tw chices: they culd either eat it r, if they waited fifteen minutes, they'd be given a secnd ne(and then they culd eat bth).
S, what did the kids d? Well, as yu can imagine, 70% ate the first marshmallw within the fifteen minutes. But the ther 30% shwed willpwer—they cntrlled themselves and waited fr the secnd marshmallw. But then Mischel discvered smething really interesting. Twenty years later, he gt in tuch with the children, wh, by then, were in their early twenties. And he fund that thse wh'd shwn strng willpwer were getting better marks at university and were mre ppular.
Willpwer is like a muscle(肌肉), and the mre yu exercise it, the strnger it gets.
S, if yu d daily "self-cntrl exercises", such as making yur bed r brushing yur teeth, yu'll imprve yur verall willpwer. And daily willpwer exercises will help yu with thse bigger gals, such as studying fr an exam r training fr a marathn.
Be careful thugh. Just like any muscle, yur "willpwer muscle" can get tired. If yu've had t d lts f things that require willpwer, take a break r give yurself a treat.
That way, yu’ll build up yur willpwer again.
And ne last thing, the writer mentins peple wh learn freign languages usually have a lt f willpwer. S, cngratulatins!

Sleepwalkers' eyes are pen, but they dn't see the same way as they d during the day, and they ften think they are in different rms f the huse r different places. Sleepwalkers usually g back t bed themselves and they dn't remember it in the mrning.
Scientists say that sleepwalking may smetimes happen when a persn is sick, has a fever, is nt getting enugh sleep, r he has much stress.
There's n medicine fr sleepwalking, but here are sme ideas frm dctrs t help sleepwalkers:
