    Children wh eat three r mre hamburgers a week are mre likely t suffer frm asthma(哮喘), researchers say. Hwever, they say that the risk may nt be caused by the meat-rich diet(饮食)itself, but by a lack f fresh fruit and vegetables.
    The study lked at 50,000 children frm 20 cuntries. Parents were asked abut their children's eating habits and whether they had ever suffered frm asthma. The effects f their diet seemed t be different depending n where they lived. Fruit and vegetables are mre helpful in less affluent parts f the wrld, while eating lts f fish was mre helpful in richer cuntries. Eating at least three hamburgers a week was linked t(与……有联系)a greater risk f asthma, but nly in wealthier cuntries.
    Dr Gabriele Nagel said different things may cause asthma in different parts f the wrld. “This gives us mre understanding f hw asthma affects(影响)different peple, and its effects in develping cuntries as well as develped cuntries,” she said.
    High levels f unhealthy fat in hamburgers culd increase the risk f asthma. Hwever, the researchers said children wh ate several hamburgers a week were likely t have ther unhealthy lifestyle habits as well.
